Bio

Conrad Clarke is a young artist who lives and works in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire after relocating from London in 2012, where he assisted a handful of international artists, as well as developing his own studio.
With the landscape as his main subject of reference, he works to convey the beauty and complexities of it using texture, pattern, and narrative elements throughout his work.
Always with the aim of re-enchanting the landscape, his depiction of a figurative reality can easily turn into an ambiguous, imaginative space that induces abstracted sensibilities into an otherwise ordinary practice.
Through his travels he continues to seek out inspiration from the natural world while honing in on the unique details that define each imagined place.
